I do have more power on the short, sharp rises. I guess that could be due to the fact that I'm finding more power all round. So far, so good.

It only took a couple of rides to get used to the setup. Oddly enough, although it’s a more relaxing setup, I find myself comfortably bending the arms when on the hoods, which means I’m a tad more aerodynamic given that I’m not quite as upright. I also find it much more comfortable when riding in the drops, which means I spend a lot more time there – this has been a massive bonus. I now switch between the three positions with more freedom.

I’m now less toe-heavy and I’m using my quads as I should be. I feel like I’ve now got access to more power for a more sustainable amount of time.
